Flight of Honor Testimonials

from the inaugural flight from RDU October 7, 2010:

The memory of our flight will last a lifetime. It was such an honor to be among the 100 WWII veterans. I will always be grateful.

Thank you all so much for your work on the Triangle Flight of Honor.  I saw the story on last night’s news.  As the granddaughter of a WWII veteran, I think that this is an absolutely wonderful thing you are doing and touching the lives and hearts of so many people.  I could not help but shed tears watching the story.

Thank you!!

-Margaret Wiesemann

My Dad and his family personally thank you for all that you contributed in honoring him and his service during World War II yesterday and last night.  It was truly a special day for all of us.

God Bless America,

Larry Williford

I want to take this opportunity to thank all those who worked on the scene and behind the scene for a job “Well Done”‘. The trip to Washington, D.C. seemed to go without a problem – even the weather cooperated all the way. Thanks to the guardians – they helped in many ways. Coming home on the plane, an old military Mail Call quickly brought back all those memories. On arriving home at the close of this wonderful day – oh my gosh, the multitude of people -looked like thousands of people to say “Welcome Home”. How wonderful of them to come out like that. Thanks for the trip and may the November trip be as successful.

Sincerely,

Frank Laza
